New Delhi (IANS). Ranveer Singh’s upcoming sports drama ’83’ has been declared tax-free in the national capital. Reliance Entertainment CEO Shibasish Sarkar thanked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia for tax-free film in the region. Sarkar tweeted: “Thank you, Mr @arvindkejriwal Ji and Mr @msisodia.aap Ji, for declaring film 83 tax-free in Delhi!’
The film will release on December 24
Ranveer will play the role of Kapil Dev, the former captain of the Indian cricket team who led India to victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. Ranveer’s wife and actor Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi. The film is scheduled to release on Friday, December 24.
Ranveer worked hard
Talking about his role, Ranveer had said in a press statement, “He (Kapil Dev) has a very unique bowling action and his bio-mechanics are very unique to him. My body is very different from his so. I had to change my physique. Worked hard to achieve this. It took a long time to complete the action. Initially, my body was very heavy as I was coming out of Simmba shoot.”
