This cricketer gave a new name to Hardy Sandhu
Hardy played in the U-19 World Cup along with Shikhar Dhawan and many other cricketers. Also, it was former cricketer Robin Uthappa who gave Singer the new name, Hardy, as he could not pronounce his real name, Harvinder Singh Sandhu. Talking about how Robin gave him his screen name, Hardy had told Man’s World India in 2020, “I don’t think Uthappa would remember, but it was around the time we were in Bengaluru. Was playing for India Under 19. Uthappa was only 17 years old. He found it difficult to pronounce my name. So, Hardy started calling, after which it became associated with my name.
There was no money to pay the installment of the car
He said in the same interview, “After thinking, in 2013-2014, I did seven to eight shows. As a Punjabi, I was very fond of luxury cars and decided to buy one for myself. I gave three hit songs But after a point, I was not getting any shows. All my songs were slow and I was not doing anywhere despite having a lot of fans. There came a time when I had to pay the installments of the car I had bought. I have gone through days when my bank balance was less. This was the time when I started making money and doing more films.

On the work front, Hardy was last seen in the film Code Name: Tiranga opposite Parineeti Chopra. He also sang the song “Ki Kariye” for the film. Although, it could not be successful at the box office, but his songs were very much liked by the fans and went on trading on the chart box. Apart from this, he has given more than one superhit songs in the Punjabi industry.
