Actors Nitish Bhardwaj and Smita Gaate had parted ways in September 2019. Smita, an IAS officer, is currently living in Indore with her twin daughters. Nitish talked about this in an interview. He said divorce could sometimes be more painful than death.
In a conversation with Bombay Times, Nitish Bhardwaj said, ‘Yes, it is true, I had filed for divorce in September 2019 in a family court in Mumbai. Why we parted, I will not talk about the reason behind it. The matter is still in court. All I can say is that sometimes divorce is more painful than death because you live with a broken heart.
Let us tell you that this is the second marriage of both Nitish and Smita. On the concept of marriage, the actor said, ‘I am a firm believer in this institution, but I have been unlucky. Usually, the reasons for breaking up a marriage can be infinite, sometimes it is due to a staunch attitude or lack of compassion, or it can result from egoism and self-centred thinking. But when the family breaks up, the children suffer the most. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that their children are least harmed by their decisions.
