After 22 years, Sunny Deol is all set to make a comeback with a new sequel to the 2001 blockbuster film Gadar. There are high expectations about the film, and the makers will soon announce the release date of the Anil Sharma directorial. Sunny Deol says that making a sequel to a big film like Gadar is a challenge. In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, he said, “It was a difficult task to start, but I think people want me to just rip things off.”
Sunny Deol’s ‘Chup’ co-star Dulquer Salmaan says, “It is going to be an entirely new generation that will be introduced to it. All these post-2000s kids will be excited to see things.” Sunny Deol feels that the makers should re-release Gadar for today’s audience. It should be shown again on the big screen so that today’s generation can watch the film and decide for themselves what it (enthusiasm) was.”
Have full faith in ‘Gadar 2.’
According to Sunny Deol, many of his previous films guarantee sequels, but he does not want to make them just to bring part two. He said, “We messed things up when doing part two. If the writing is good, we should do part one, but we shouldn’t make it up just for the sake of it.” However, he has full faith in Gadar 2.
‘Gadar 2’ to release in early 2023
He said, “I am very confident about the film. I want to see whomever I meet, and we are giving them that in Gadar. We will resume shooting in October and will complete it by December. It will be 2023.” Will release in the beginning.”
