Threat to kill ‘Gandhi Godse’ director Rajkumar Santoshi, police engaged in investigation

Those protesting say that the film "Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh" is glorifying Nathuram Godse, the assassin of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

The controversy over the Bollywood film ‘Gandhi Godse: Ek Yuddh’ is increasing. Now its director Rajkumar Santoshi and producer Lalit Kumar Shyam Tekchandani have received death threats. He has complained about this to Mumbai’s Joint Police Commissioner Satyanarayana.

According to sources, in the complaint, both of them have said about the danger to their lives and their families. The police have been requested to provide them additional security. Please tell that this film is going to be released on 26 January. Earlier, there has been controversy after the trailer of the film came out.

There was also an attempt to disrupt the film’s press conference before its release on 20 January. Those protesting say that the film “Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh” is glorifying Nathuram Godse, the assassin of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. On the other hand, the makers of the film argue that Nathuram Godse has not been glorified in the film. Only the clash of ideas between Godse and Mahatma Gandhi has been shown.
